What else to do here

Grytøya has many beautiful mountain hikes, and several of these are accessible from ports and anchorages. If you would rather do water sports, then the skerries on Grøtavær, Meløyvær, Krøttøya and Helløya are perfect for RIB tours, paddling with SUP/kayak, free diving, or just pure recreation.

There is also a lot of history in the islands, with graves and tufts after the Viking Age, as well as Meløyvær fort which is located on Krøttøya. On Sandsøya you can visit Altevika farm and secure short-distance lamb thighs and jams from the farm shop, or fresh baked goods at Tinghuset bakery.
